"West looks East" show next Friday

Join three local Saori weavers at their Hospice Savannah Art Gallery reception on Friday, April 13 between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saori is a free form style of hand weaving that emphasizes creativity and free expression over uniformity and regularity. Come discover the joy and feeling woven into each piece! The show hangs through June and as always, a portion of proceeds supports our life enriching programs.
Welcome to our new Board members!

At last month's annual gratitude breakfast we thanked outgoing members and welcomed new officers and new members to the Hospice Savannah, Hospice Savannah Foundation and Steward Center for Palliative Care boards. See the complete  list of board members here.  You may read our   Annual Gratitude Report to the Community here, or if you would prefer to receive a paper copy, please call our Foundation at 912.629.1055.

Cooking Demo on April 17 at 6:00 p.m.

Do you think it's too time consuming, too boring or too expensive to eat better? Join Flux Nourishment Community' s founder Megyn Jefferson as she teaches a free and informative one-hour, better-eating class at our Edel Caregiver Institute where we help unpaid family caregivers who look after someone with dementia, a serious illness or disability. Often caregivers do not have the time, energy or skill to cook  a healthy meal for themselves.

The April 17 class is open to anyone in our community, not just family caregivers. Megyn will inspire you to do better, but more importantly, will provide realistic tools to make healthier eating a reality!  Full details here.
Bereavement counselor Betsy on "The Bridge"

Grief support for victims of homicide

Full Circle bereavement counselors continue to support youth and adults affected by homicide. In partnership with the Victim-Witness Assistance Program we recently formed a Middle School and a High School youth support group where all attendees have experienced a loss due to gun violence.

April is Victims' Rights Month and we are also collaborating with a local New York Live agents' initiative to provide resources to children and youth in our school system who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Find out more about our "We the Living" program for children who are dealing with traumatic loss by calling Full Circle at  912.303.9442.
We are grateful!

Your help makes more moments possible! Pictured above is a recent birthday celebration for Hospice House patient, Mr. H. Thank you for your support of the many life enriching programs and services we provide, some of which are mentioned in this newsletter. An easy way to show your support is by following us on social media and sharing our messages with your circle of friends! Here's a recent 5-star review a grateful family member posted on our Facebook page:
"I just want to say thank you for making my sister's last week with us as positive as it could be. You are all angels on earth!
Our family appreciates everything you did for Ashley and for your kindness toward our family. I am so thankful there is such a place that can make someone's final days feel so peaceful."
