Financial Management Association- Chicago Conference      
Student representatives discover possible careers in finance
Members of Financial Management Association of Texas A&M University-Kingsville attended a Finance Leader's C onference in Chicago. Students participated in a Finance Quiz Bowl, visited local financial institutions and expanded their professional network by meeting with professionals from Morningstar and CBOE.
 
This conference was an eye-opening event that helped the students establish their career goal and meet by professionals from the industry. "It was my pleasure to see our students start to value this type of real industry experience", expressed Professor Kim. 
 
 


Delta Sigma Pi Share A Meal Event         
Students giving back to community, one meal at a time        
One of TAMUK's very own, Delta Sigma Pi, participated in a service event in Corpus Christi, Share a Meal. This event took place at the Ronald McDonald House, which is an American independent nonprofit organization whose mission is to create, find, and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. Delta Sigma Pi prepared flautas, rice and beans for the 40-50 families currently living there. With the help of these dedicated volunteers, families in need were able to enjoy a home cooked meal in a place they currently call home. 
 

2018 Community Breakfast   
College of Business Administration hosts eighth annual event 
The Texas A&M University-Kingsville College of Business Administration, the Kleberg Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Kingsville Chamber of Commerce joined hands to host the eighth annual community breakfast and presentation.

The keynote speaker, Gijs van Oort, Ph.D., CEO and Executive Director from Health Access San Antonio (HASA)- regional non-profit health collaborative covering South, Central and North Texas, shared his knowledge of health informatics and health information exchange services in South Texas. The sponsor of this event was IBC Bank. The College of Business Administration sends their thanks to our sponsor, co-hosts and those who attended this annual event.   
 
 2018 Outstanding Senior Professional Academic Advisor Award

The Center for Student Success at Texas A&M University- Kingsville announced its recognize excellence in professional academic advising by establishing two Outstanding Professional Academic Advisor Awards. There were several deserving nominees for the awards, all of whom excel in their work and are dedicated to our students. The 2018 Outstanding Senior Professional Academic Advisor Award was presented to Ms. Cynthia Longoria, advisor for the College of Business Administration.  Cindy received a plaque of recognition, as well as a monetary award. Please join us in congratulating Cindy!  

Women In Leadership Conference           
"Face Forward", hosted by Univesity Women in Leadership Council         
Texas A&M University-Kingsville Women in Leadership Council hosted a conference Friday, March 23. The focus of the conference, "Face Forward", was intended to inspire, encourage and facilitate women faculty, staff and administration to meet their professional potential and beyond.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Crissy Hinojosa, Lecturer in the College of Business, gave a presentation on trusting your potential. In addition, other presentations aligned with the conference theme by speaking on the role of gender in negotiating salary/promotion, Title IX at our campus and balancing personal and professional lives.
