In 2020 the Chapter will elect two new Executive Officers, to the offices of President and Secretary.

We are fortunate to have the following candidates. For President: J.D. Wikert and Matt Young; For Secretary: Nicole Kwan and Mollie Ogaz.

You may cast your electronic vote at a Survey Monkey link. You will need to be a dues-paid member of AFS and the AFS Cal-Neva Chapter for 2020 in order to cast your vote. We will be sending an email message soon to all dues-paid members that will include voting instructions and a verification code which you will need to enter on the electronic ballot.

Call for Abstracts and Volunteers for AFS Cal-Neva Chapter 2020 Annual Meeting!

Abstracts for oral presentations and posters to be included in the 2020 Annual Meeting program are due February 28, 2020. 

If you are interested in working as a Volunteer at the Cal-Neva Annual meeting, please contact Claire Ingel at [email protected].

Registration for the meeting is open!

The 2020 Chapter meeting will be held at the Lake Natoma Inn in Folsom, CA, March 15-17, 2020.  Continuing Education courses will be offered on Sunday, March 15 and plenary, symposia, and contributed papers will be Mon-Tues, March 16-17.

Cal-Neva Small Project Grants Program - Applications Open!

The Cal-Neva Chapter of AFS has created a 'Small Project Grants Program' to provide funding to fisheries-related projects in California and Nevada.  

Our goal in 2020 is to fund at least two grants, for a total of $3,000 to be distributed across all grants.  This money can be used to get a project started or to supplement funding from other sources.  We are currently accepting applications and the deadline is April 3, 2020 .
