If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart
that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

It’s hard to believe that it is already Spring Break!!!

Here’s what happened in our Chapel services that we hope will carry over into your homes…

HERE’S WHAT TOOK PLACE IN OUR LOWER SCHOOL CHAPEL THIS WEEK:

Throughout the month of March, David Joiner has spoken on the topic of “Five Lies that We Tell Ourselves.” On Wednesday, Pastor David addressed Lie #5- “Wisdom comes from getting more information.”

As you are in your homes, eating around the table, or in the car together, consider discussing the following questions with your students to help open up the opportunity to have spiritual-minded conversations with your Lower School student(s).

  • “What does James 1:5-6 say about what we should do if we don’t have wisdom?”

  • “Is just having wisdom enough? What should we do with that wisdom?”

  • “What does Jesus’s story about the two men who built their houses (one on the rock and one on the sand) teach us about obeying His Word when times get tough?”

HERE’S WHAT TOOK PLACE IN OUR MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL CHAPEL THIS WEEK:

During our middle and high school chapel service, we walked through Luke 22-24 examining the events that took place in the Garden of Gethsemane, the betrayal and denials from Jesus’s closest friends, His “trials” before the High Priest, religious council, Herod, and Pilate, Jesus’s crucifixion, death, burial, and His triumphant resurrection.

As you are in your homes, eating around the table, or in the car together, consider discussing the following questions with your students to help open up the opportunity to have spiritual-minded conversations with your middle/high school student(s).

  • “Who exactly was/is Jesus Christ?”

  • “Why would Jesus ever go through all that He went through?”

  • “Why do you think that it important to not only believe the “story of Jesus,” but to also truly see ourselves as sinners?”

  • “Has there ever been a time in your life that you have accepted Jesus’s sacrifice for you on the cross, asked God to forgive you of your sins, and invited the Holy Spirit of God to take control of your life?” (Romans 10:9)

  • “What has Christ died for that you are still struggling with? (Galatians 2:20)
