Dear Friends,

As Chair of the Council I'm often invited to speak at events across the County. I recently had the opportunity to participate in two breakfast events attended primarily by owners and staff members from businesses located in Prince George's County. During my remarks, I strongly encouraged attendees to deepen their connection to Prince George's County by supporting our County's nonprofit organizations and hiring County youth.

Through this special edition of my email newsletter I'm sharing this information with you as well. Are you a local business owner? Do you work for a business in Prince George's County that could hire students -- potentially at no cost to your business -- this summer or next fall? Are you looking for volunteer, board membership, or giving opportunities? Do you know a young person who would benefit from job training and a job opportunity? Please read more and consider how you can deepen your engagement with youth and nonprofits in our community.
