For more than 50 years, Nativity of the Holy Virgin Orthodox Church in Menlo Park has brought a little bit of the Russian tradition to the holiday shopping season.
This one-day event contains a rummage sale, two local artists selling artwork, church tours and honey from the Holy Assumption Orthodox Monastery in Calistoga. Live Russian music and a Russian puppet show will keep visitors entertained while they dine, a la carte, on traditional Russian cuisine handmade from recipes passed on from generation to generation.

The Holiday Train will fire up its engine for the seventeenth year this December to delight Bay Area families with glittering lights and holiday giving. This festive tradition brings holiday treats, entertainment and characters including Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph and Santa’s elves to nine stations between San Francisco and Santa Clara.
Caltrain and SVCF also partner with local organizations to collect toys at each station for underserved children in our communities. Last year, the event brought together over 35,000 Bay Area residents and collected over 3,000 toys. Bring the family to join in the fun, and bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to the Holiday Train Toy Drive.
The Holiday Train will stop at the Menlo Park station on

Celebration & Art Exhibit with Artist Joseph Vella
|
|
Marcela's Village Gallery is very happy to bring to you the amazing still life oil paintings from local artist Joseph Vella. The native Californian, son of an Italian fisherman grew up with a deep appreciation for the beauty of his surroundings. His subject matter, still life, reflects the neoclassic influence. Using the finest French oils, Vella’s works are reminiscent of the old masters, with a contemporary trompe l’oeil.
Please come and join Marcela's Village Gallery and celebrate with champagne, hot cider, cheese and fruit.
