Annapolis Steals Your Tax Cut

In December, the United States Congress passed the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act of 2017 .

The intent of the bill is to let people keep more of their own money, but Annapolis needs to act.

The Governor of Maryland introduced Protecting Maryland Taxpayers Act of 2018 , so as to return the tax cut to the rightful owner - - you. This legislation is necessary since Maryland's tax code does not conform to the Federal Code. If passed, the Governor's Bill will return all $550 million of the Tax Cuts to Marylanders. Unfortunately, Liberals refuse to pass his bill.

More Voter Shenanigans

SB 1048 mandates voter registration at state agencies such as the Motor Vehicle Administration, Maryland Health Benefit Exchange, Maryland Transit Administration and local Departments of Social Services.

Registration is automatic unless a person affirmatively opts-out. Since illegal immigrants are recipients of many Social Services in Maryland, they would be automatically registered to vote unless they opted-out.

This bill opens the door to massive voter fraud.

Election integrity is paramount, but Progressives are putting their own interests above law-abiding Marylanders.

Trial Lawyers Commit Malpractice

Currently, doctors in Maryland must spend 80% of their professional time in the medical profession and no more than 20% of their time as an expert witness in malpractice cases.

SB 30 weakens the restriction on doctors as expert witnesses, so as to permit doctors to exceed the 20% cap in some cases. This means that Trial Lawyers are trying to find doctors for hire.

Trial Lawyers seek to engage in "pay to play" expert witnesses. The practical effect of this bill is higher healthcare costs and an increase in frivolous lawsuits.

Trial Lawyers continue to run Annapolis.
