We’d like to introduce
LiveWell
,
a new wellness program to the Beth Wright Center’s program offerings. The
LiveWell
program is based on the framework of
iThrive
, an evidence-based program that is supported by
American Institute of Cancer Research
.
The program encompasses five core components of wellness including emotional and spiritual wellness; physical activity; healthy diet; personal environment; and rejuvenation. A simple action plan will be offered to implement and increase this healthy lifestyle. This program is open to everyone, with or without a cancer diagnosis who is interested in pursuing a healthy lifestyle.
LiveWell
will be offered as a six-session program and will take place at the Beth Wright Cancer Resource Center beginning on Saturday, February 8, 2020 and will be held each Saturday through Saturday, March 14th.
The
LiveWell
series kick-off session will take place on
Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 11:30 – 1:30 with a Lunch and Learn Session at the Beth Wright Cancer Resource Center
. This initial session will introduce participants to the overall goals and components of the initiative. Program developer, Paige Johnston, will present a program overview, answer questions and hand out free materials. A free plant-based lunch will be served. We are encouraging anyone who is interested to come to this initial session.
