Stevens Forest Storm Drain Stenciling Project
Sunday, April 15th, Meet at the Stevens Forest Neighborhood Center Lot
1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Have you ever wondered what you personally can do to ensure there is less pollution going into the Little Patuxent River from your neighborhood?  Want to learn to estimate your personal contribution to the flow of pollution down the drain on your street?  Come get educated at a fun and hands on work-party in the street!!   And bring your friends!

I am your representative (from Oakland Mills) to the Columbia Association's Watershed Advisory Committee.  In April we will have the first opportunities to meet and to learn about 4 types of pollution that travel down our storm drains, and how to cut down on that pollution with easy and small changes you can do in your own yard and around your own house.

While we clean and stencil 4 storm drain inlets:

2 North of the intersection of Stevens Forest Rd and Encounter Row
1 at the North end of Commitment Court and
1 on Encounter Row at Agail Place.

I will show you how these are connected underground by the path of the storm drains.  You are an awesome mini-sub-watershed!!
RSVP to Sheila Robinson at
if you can attend or if you want more information.
