This book is written by 70 year-old Delia Owens, so I'm excited by the fact that she's one of those writers finding success late in life. (I'm all about the Success after Sixty mantra!) But there's more to this story than just the success of her debut novel. The "rest of the story" is how her experience in Africa might have affected her writing this book. If you haven't read or listened to Where the Crawdads Sing, consider it, and when you're done, be sure and read the fascinating back story.
