Stigma, homophobia, transphobia and the challenges of healthcare access

Dear Providers and Community Members:

Homophobia, transphobia, stigma and the intersectionality of race/ethnicity, educational attainment, and social determinants negatively impact the health and well-being of gay, bisexual and transgender individuals by limiting their access to healthcare services.

This year's NYC Latino Health Action Day will present a panel with clinical service providers and community members to discuss the intersections of accessing healthcare.

The Latino Commission on AIDS has hosted NYC Latino Health Action Day since 2013 as a space for community based organizations and elected representatives to share strategies on how to overcome health challenges among Latinos in New York City.

The 8th NYC Latino Health Action Day will take place in The Wooly Public, 9 Barclay St. New York, NY 10007 on Wednesday, February 19th, 2020 from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Please RSVP for this free event. Registration begins at 8:30 AM. Program start at 9:00 AM. Breakfast will be provided.
