A Message from the Principal...
Dear MBS Families,
First thank you to all of the families who participate in, support and volunteer for MBS Athletics. We are fortunate to have such dedicated families and volunteers.

We have had some changes within MBS Athletics and are asking for your faith and trust that the changes have happened for the good of the school and the athletic program. Coach Butler is no longer with MBS as AD. He will continue coaching his 5th grade basketball team. We thank Coach Bulter for his service and the joyful spirit he has shared with our students and families. The students are sure to miss him.

We have been notified of some parental concerns about Coach Butler's departure. First and foremost, athletics is NOT being cut. Athletics is a very important part of student life within our school. Out of respect and in appreciation for our Athletic supporters, we are committed to providing a robust, well-run, positive, spirited program where expectations and information is communicated clearly, accurately and in a timely manner. We also ask, that rather than share misinformation or solicit information (which may also be incorrect) on social media that you contact me directly. I am never too busy to discuss legitimate concerns.

For the remainder of this school year, Rebecca Daigle, Penne Leier, Ally and Rob Smith, April and Ryan Richard and Kasey Gary will be working together to ensure the remaining athletic seasons run smoothly. Rebecca Daigle will be the school point person. If you need to contact her, please do so by email, rdaigle@mbsbr.org . Ms. Daigle is assuming this responsibility in addition to her other duties. Please be patient and courteous and be sure to thank her for taking on this responsibility.

In consultation with Jay LeBlanc, Father Phil and the MBS Athletic Council, we will be interviewing for an Athletic DIrector replacement. If you have any specific qualities or expectations for the person being hired for this position, please email me directly at cgioe@mbsbr.org .

Thank you again for supporting MBS Athletics.

Cheri M. Gioe, Principal

School News
Mother-Son Dance
Due to the extensive damage to the office from the pipe burst, we have had to move the Office to St. Ursula. Thus, at this time, we will have to postpone the Mother-Son Dance. Once we have an idea of restoration completion, we will announce a new date.

Gym Concessions
The Concessions in the Gym has begun its renovation. During events where concessions will be sold, we will only be serving candy, chips and drinks. Sorry for the small inconvenience, but the result will be worth it!

Second Chance Dog Donations
The MBS Pelican Pride Dance Line will be collecting donations to support the Second Chance Dog Rescue. Please bring donations to any MBS basketball game on Tuesday, February 11th. All students who participate and bring an item from the list below will earn a FREE SOCK & SHOE DAY on Wednesday, February 12th. Click here for more information.

Church Parish News
Big News Times Two
  1. We are pleased to present the 2020 Conceptual Parish Master plan. This is a graphic representation of what was expressed by the parish during the strategic planning process. It also represents the thoughts of Parish and School leadership as well as key stakeholders. This plan was developed by the Building Committee as a preliminary road map for the future growth of the Parish. This is only the beginning and with your feedback and support we can make this plan a reality. Next steps and project development will be guided by the thoughts of the Parish. You can view this concept in the church narthex.
