In Memory of George Meyer, Telescan Founder

A dear friend and an icon of the TAS industry has passed away. George Meyer,
Telescan, Division of Amtelco
the founder of Telescan, died peacefully in the presence of family members at St. Luke's Hospital in St. Louis County, Missouri on Wednesday, November 6th. We send our heartfelt condolences to George's wife Judy, daughters Vicki and Kim, all the grandchildren, great grandchildren and family members.

George and his wife Judy founded Telescan in 1976. George was truly a pioneer who helped pave the way for much of the continually evolving automation that keeps the telecommunications industry vibrant.
We owe a debt of gratitude to George, for his ingenuity in helping to take the answering service industry from cordboards to computer technology. George founded two local telecommunication companies, Telescan Corporation and AnsaRing Service.

George was a veteran of the Army and 50-year member of Gardenville Masonic lodge. Flying his airplanes and helicopter was a lifelong passion for George who was a pilot since he was in his 20's. He was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.

George was a resident of Affton, Missouri working in his mother's restaurant and graduating from Affton high school 1953. He joined the Army and served as a radio engineer. George met Judy at a TV station, and they married March 1963. Vicki and Kim soon came to complete the family. In 1984 George became "Papa" for five granddaughters and four great-grandchildren. He was always "Papa."

George's memory will last long in the hearts and minds of everyone he knew. He will be greatly missed and cherished as we honor him and say goodbye.
Genesis Testimonial

Tom,

I wanted to write you about our new Genesis system that was recently installed.

There were a number of reasons we chose Genesis. We wanted to use SIP service for pricing and disaster recovery options. Genesis also allowed us to install it onto a server and have a separate server for backup. This turned out to be a great disaster recovery option because we can put the backup server in a hardened collocation site and if there are issues at our office, we can redirect the SIP service to the backup server and still take calls from anywhere. The integration of Genesis and Intelligent Series was the way to go for a seamless operation. It will also allow us to take advantage of future updates as Amtelco enhances the service.

Now about your people. I cannot say enough good things about how they handled our transition from Infinity to Genesis. From preplanning through final check list, they were excellent. They knew what they were doing and also how to explain it to us so we can understand. The coordination between Amtelco, our vendors and us was very professional and detailed. You should be proud of the team that you built.

Thanks for all the help that you and your team provided so we can take advantage of the features of Genesis now and in the future.
