44th Annual Chamber Awards Banquet

Ed Emmett
Ed Emmett is currently a professor in the practice at Rice University with a focus on public policy. In addition, he is a senior fellow at Rice University's Kinder Institute for Urban Research and a fellow at Rice University's Doerr Institute for New Leaders. Mr. Emmett is also a Distinguished Senior Fellow at Northeastern University's Global Resilience Institute. From 2007 until 2019, Mr. Emmett served as county judge of Harris County, Texas. In this position, he was also the director of homeland security and emergency management, a role which established him as a national leader in emergency response and community resilience.

Frank Jordan, CEO of Nutritional Scientific Corporation, will serve as master of ceremonies. The 2019 Citizen of the Year for Dayton and for Liberty will be announced, and outgoing directors Eliza Guidry and Barbara Norwood will be honored for their years of service on the board. This year's meal will be catered by Ezer Catering of Anahuac.

Tickets for the banquet are sold prior to the event; no tickets are sold at the door. Individual tickets are $40 and a table of 10 may be purchased for $350. Chamber members are invited to participate in sponsoring this very special occasion. There are several sponsorship levels available which include recognition at (or near) the front seating area to highlight your business or organization. Early voting for the March 3rd Primary Election is Tuesday, February 18 thru Friday, February 28. Liberty County residents can find complete election information including sample ballots and polling locations at the Liberty County website.
