The Burns Supper celebrates, in words and music, the immortal memory of Robert Burns and Scotland's heritage.
Our musical program will be led by the award winning young Scottish team of
Claire McKenzie and Scott Gilmour of Noisemaker.
We are also very honored that the historic
Gregg Violin
will be a part of the program, being played during the
evening.
240 years ago Robert Burns's dancing master, William Gregg, played the fiddle as he taught Robert Burns dance steps. Burns was a keen and capable fiddler himself, so it is likely that he also played Gregg's
instrument.
We are grateful to the
National Trust for Scotland and the Scottish Government for arranging that the Gregg Violin is a part of our 2020 Burns Night Celebration.
With
Glen Dronach Distillery offering the whisky tasting, a silent
and live auction, address to the Haggis from
Robbie Munro,
music from Noisemaker - and concluding with "enthusiastic"
reeling .. we feel sure it will be a wonderful evening. Come Join Us.
