Lazarus House Service Trip |
Sixteen students volunteered at Lazarus House after school on Monday, June 5th, and spent time touring the facility and making sandwiches for the people who would be coming to eat later in the evening.
This particular service project was brought about by sophomore Sophia Bellia, who has been volunteering at Lazarus House for the past few summers. She mentioned this opportunity to PMA's campus minister, Francis Stanton, with the hopes of having a group of five to eight to attend. PMA students rose to the occasion and doubled that number for the outing at Lazarus House.
The number of students who were willing to give up their time was a pleasant sight for the coordinators at Lazarus House. With the level of enthusiasm this service project received, future ones are being planned and bound to be just as successful.

On the Tuesday, June 6th, nine PMA students took a "study break" to spend some time with Jesus in the sacrament of the Eucharist at the last LIFT event of the school year. LIFT is a night full of Christian rock praise and worship music that also provides participants the opportunity to go to confession and spend time in adoration. The students traveled to St. Anthony's in Cambridge to take part in the faith-filled and uplifting event. The students saw this as a great way to alleviate the stress of upcoming finals and to relax for a little bit and they prayed for some divine intervention to help them do well on their exams.!

Discover the Potential: Capital Campaign |
|
|
Proposed Main Entrance
|
|
In 2002, PMA embarked on a $1 Million Capital Campaign to
build the Dupre Sports and Arts Center. This monumental undertaking added a new larger athletic
center, theater and expanded arts center. Alumni, parents, community partners,
and friends all showed their belief in the future of PMA with their financial support.
Flash forward to 2017, and PMA is again looking to invest in our future. A ground
breaking will occur this month to begin the renovation of the Edward F. Searles
Carriage House which is the heart of the Academy building. This exciting expansion
will include a new sun-drenched atrium style entrance, along with other
improvements that will enhance the accessibility and
safety for our students, staff, and visitors. Today the need is great. The 2017-2020
Capital Campaign needs to raise $1 Million.
