Grace Christian Academy's Future City team, Riquezagua, came in 3rd place at the State competition on Saturday, January 25th! 49 teams competed!
In addition the team was awarded 3 awards:
The Public Choice Award
is given to the model that is chosen by the public to be the best. The voting was done last week while it was on display at the Phoenix Burton Barr Library. Over a thousand people came to see and vote on the models during the week.
The ASU Walton Sustainable Community Award
is given to the team for their sustainable solutions.
The Excellence in Use of Building Materials Award
is given to the team from the Construction Specifications Institute.
There were over 10 groups of engineers that wanted to award our team their group awards, but each team is limited to 3 awards in the competition. We are so proud of our students!
