A new support group is forming for those who have battled or are battling cancer. This community cancer support group will hold its initial gathering at Aledo United Methodist Church. (The group plans to meet monthly on the second Tuesday.) The guest speaker will be Tracey Boyes, Executive Director of Susan G. Komen, Greater Fort Worth. Service of Hope: Finding Hope Through the Holidays

Dreading the upcoming holidays because you are struggling with grief, the loss of a loved one, the pain of divorce, a lost job, or another source of pain? The magic of the holidays is often missing for those suffering grief and loss. Living With Alzheimer's - The Middle Stage

The Alzheimer's Association along with AUMC's Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Group will be presenting a seminar to provide information for those in our community who are caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's or dementia. The seminar is free, but you do need to register by clicking here.

Student Ministry's will be putting together college care packages after the Friendsgiving potluck. If you would like to donate items for the boxes check at the Connection Center for a list of items. Donations to help with the mailing cost ($15/box) are also needed. Checks marked "college care package" can be dropped in the offering plate.

Pick-up a shoebox at the Connection Center and fill it with special gifts for a boy or girl! Deck the Halls Chili Cookoff and Hanging of the Greens

Sunday, December 1, 5:30 and 6:30pm
Our annual Deck the Halls Chili Cook-off begins at 5:30pm, followed by the Hanging of the Greens worship service at 6:30pm. Children have a special role during the service of hanging the Chrismons on the tree! Prizes will be awarded for the top chili in each of three categories - Regular, Spicy, and "Not Yo Mama's."

We're Reading the New Testament in 2019!

Are you ready to learn more about Jesus? Start the New Year with your church family as we embark on a yearlong commitment to read the entire New Testament together.
