SPIRITUAL GROWTH CLASSES: Coming  this Winter 2020... Developing an intelligent faith that impacts every aspect of life.  Classes will start this coming  Sun., Jan. 19 , and run through March 8.
  • Streams of Living Water by Pastor Bob Drummond, meeting in Garden Room D.
Knowing and appreciating the major "streams" of Christ's Church helps us pray for unity while personally seeking the fullness of Christ in our lives. Streams of Living Water will explore the streams of the Christian faith that include prayer, virtue, Spirit, compassion, justice, and the Word. Be prepared to expand your love of Christ's Church and deepen the expressions of your faith.
  • Sharpening Your Disciple-Making Skills by Connie & Randy Karman, meeting in the Family Room.
Jesus modeled discipleship during his ministry on earth; his final words to his followers were, "go and make disciples of all nations."  Whether you are an experienced disciple-maker, or have a desire to learn how to disciple others, this class is meant to challenge and inform both men and women on how to be a "disciple-making disciple." This is an in-depth training, as it is a springboard to a comprehensive disciple-making ministry at Emmanuel Church, therefore, a high attendance commitment is required.
  • Further Up and Further In by Lisa & David Hoffman, meeting in Garden Room B.
C.S. Lewis deals with rich complexities of Christian faith in enchanting stories "for children." If you haven't read the Chronicles of Narnia in a while, come take a deep dive with us and find out what you've been missing. Please note for this first week: if you can't read The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe by Sunday, an audio summary supplied by Lisa and David can be found at https://www.nerdychristianity.com/audio.
  • A Life of Pursuit, Passion, and Purpose by Pastor Brian Chan, meeting in Garden Room C.
Learn about understanding God's will and direction for you. Discover how to live passionately for God, even in dry times. Find out what it means to practically pursue your purpose with perseverance. This class will examine what God's Word says and engage in rich discussions.
  • ALPHA by Jatinder Sehmi, meeting in the Lower Auditorium.
Come join Jatinder for an open discussion on the foundational aspects of the Christian faith. ALPHA is a safe place to ask questions, discuss ideas, and really try to come to grips with the difficult questions of life.
