January 14, 2020
Dear Saint Families,

A message from me two times in one month! Happy Tuesday! I have some exciting news that I wanted to share with you. As part of our strategic plan, we were working towards the hiring of an instructional specialist to assist teachers and ensure high standards of instructional services to maximize effectiveness for all students. We are excited to share that Mrs. De Leon who currently serves as elementary Assistant Principal will take on a new role in the fall of 2020 as Dean of Curriculum and Instruction. We are so happy that she will be able to offer further support and expertise across all content and grade levels as we continue to improve our instructional resources, strategies, and assessments to meet the needs of all our students. I thank you for all your continued prayers and support as the faculty and staff of StJPII continue to move forward in advancing our mission.

Counselors' Corner
Dear Parents,
We have some exciting events coming up with the counselors and we hope you can join us. Tomorrow, Wednesday, January 15, please join us in St. Jude Hall at 8:15 a.m. for "Coffee With The Counselors" where we will discuss how to help our children be RESILIENT in life. We can't protect them from "bumps in the road" of life but we can arm them with skills to bounce back when these events occur.
Mark your calendars and join the StJPII School Counselors by clicking the button and adding the Coffee with the Counselors event to your calendar today!
On Tuesday, February 25, nationally acclaimed speaker, Brooks Gibbs will be coming to campus to talk to parents about ways to help your child with emotional regulation and how to resolve conflicts they face with peers. He is a huge advocate of teaching resilience and will talk to grades 3-8 on March 26. Check out this YouTube video (among many he has on the web) and please join us for his evening talk with our parents.
