The Village Inn of East Burke is centrally located just down the road from the mountain and walking distance to pubs and restaurants.  It's just a quick drive to Nordic and fat biking treks.  Rooms are loaded with character and comfort, not to mention room rates of under $100.  Guests also enjoy a chef-prepared breakfast, hot tub, ski tuning room, bike storage and more.

Located just beyond the village, GNS Properties offers the ultimate in rustic luxury with 7 custom built log cabins that sleep from 4-19 people.   All have full kitchens, satellite tv and WiFi along with direct access to VAST snowmobile trails and plenty of room for sleds and trailers.

ATTN:  New Hampshire residents - Gear up and head to Burke February 1st - 3rd for a  FREE weekend of snowmobiling ! This is  a Statewide deal that happens once a year when NH snowmobilers can ride in VT at no cost.   Burke and the surrounding Northeast Kingdom region are prime territory for great riding and well groomed trails thanks to volunteer clubs like the  Burke Drift Skippers  and  Lyndon Snocruisers.   Nearby Island Pond is even called the 'Snowmobile Capitol of Vermont' so gas up and head north for some great riding!

A great choice for low cost skiing is the Lyndon Outing Club which offers family friendly skiing and snowboarding including night skiing.  Tickets are just $15 for adults or $10 for kids.  This all volunteer non-profit relies on natural snow so check their website or facebook page for conditions.

Located in nearby East Charleston,  NorthWoods Stewardship Center offers 20km of groomed and backcountry trails for Nordic skiing and snowshoeing.  Trail use is by donation and equipment rentals are available at the campus lodge for modest fees.  The lodge also offers a warming station, restrooms and a kitchen.  From February 24th-27th, check out the Winter Day Camp to keep the kids busy with skiing, ice fishing, arts & crafts, wildlife tracking and more.

A mere 15 bucks gets you an all day pass at the Kingdom Trails Nordic Center.  KT grooms 20 miles of trails for fat biking and 15km for skate and classic Nordic treks.  All trails are suitable for snowshoeing.   The Nordic Center is located on Darling Hill Road featuring some of the most scenic views in all of the Kingdom.  For equipment rentals, check out Village Sport Shop or East Burke Sports
