Upcoming Meeting
Hacienda Road Opening

Hacienda Road will re-open on Tuesday, February 11, 2020. The construction company, ECM, has completed the repair and is cleaning the area. A final inspection is scheduled for this week. The project’s geotechnical company, GMU, installed inclinometer and survey markers on the hillside on Tuesday, January 28, 2020. Los Angeles County Public Works has confirmed that the gate in Hacienda Heights, by the temple, will be removed on Monday, February 10, 2020.

The City is still working on getting the entire street striping redone and repaving an area north of Skyline with a washboard affect. Both items should be completed before the re-opening of the road. Edison is also working to relocate a pole that was in the failure area before the repair began.

Please join the Habitat Authority in remembering to drive cautiously and slower in the first few months to be on the lookout for wildlife. Keep safety in mind for you, other drivers and the animals.

If you have any questions please
contact City Hall at (562) 694 - 6302.

SCE: Aerial Inspections
You may have noticed or will notice additional SCE crews doing inspections, infrastructure improvement work and vegetation management in the community the past few months.

In addition to this work, SCE will be conducting aerial inspections of its electrical equipment within the City over the next few weeks. The aerial inspections of SCE's transmission and distribution facilities will involve the use of a helicopter and will only take place during daylight hours. The aerial inspections are scheduled between Tuesday, January 28, 2020 and Saturday, February 1, 2020. You can learn more about SCE’s Aerial Inspections at Aerial Inspections of Electrical Equipment

SCE is doing this in all high fire risk areas—approximately 35 percent of SCE's service area. We understand their activities may be disruptive when they conduct this important safety work and will do everything to minimize the impact to our community.

SCE appreciates the community's support and cooperation, as this is part of SCE's ongoing commitment to safety and supporting California's fight against wildfires.
