Each year, United Way pulls together hundreds of volunteers for one giant day of service in Boone, Clay, Kanawha, Logan and Putnam Counties! Volunteers can adopt a wide variety of projects, including painting, landscaping, mentoring children, helping at a food pantry and installing a Born Learning Trail. In 2016, volunteer teams paired up with non-profit agencies such as Rea of Hope, Roark-Sullivan Lifeway Center, Ronald McDonald House, Piedmont Elementary Celebration Station and others to get much needed work done. Dianne Hughes, Executive Director of the Upper Kanawha Valley Start Points said the help the volunteers gave was priceless...."the baby pantry is fully stocked and clothing is ready to give out to babies in need! Thank you!"
Day of Caring is a great chance to bond with your team, get out of the office and make great things happen for our community!
