2020-21 Renewals Timeline and Data Entry Reminder *
Attention all Trust-funded providers! Please note the renewals of our major initiatives will start in March and end in May 2020. Your mid-year performance will be used as basis for renewals. For example, we will use services through January 31, 2020, for contracts with a start date of August 1, 2019. Therefore, it is imperative that your data is up to date in SAMIS. If you are experiencing any issues with data entry, please inform your program manager asap. As a reminder, the due date for services provided through January 31, is February 18. Data for our board resolutions will be pulled on February 28. Any data entered beyond that date will not be taken into consideration for renewals.

Innovation Grant Opportunity to Open in February *
The Children's Trust is looking to fund several community partners who have innovative ideas that address an existing community need. The Innovation Fund gives community partners an avenue to test new ideas that could lead to effective and equitable opportunities for vulnerable populations of children to thrive. By offering community partners the opportunity to identify an issue, develop a potential solution and implement a strategy, The Children’s Trust hopes to build on existing community assets, encourage collaboration and support the sustainability of successful projects.

But if we have social justice, we won't need social service." That is the rationale behind The Children's Trust presenting Social Equity Day on Friday, February 14 (Valentine's Day), from

The Children's Trust Parent Club - Opportunity for On-Site Family Engagement Activity
The Children’s Trust has partnered with local parenting experts and Miami Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) to offer
FREE countywide workshops on relevant parenting topics. The 90-minute workshops are offered in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. Free childcare is provided for children 3-12 years old and parents have a chance to participate in a raffle at the end of the session.
For those providers with contracts that require a parent-engagement activity, hosting a workshop counts toward this requirement.

Title I Neighborhood Resource Center (NRC) provides additional support to parents and families of children participating in the Title I Schoolwide Program? NRC hosts weekly parent and family workshops/training and activities to improve the academic outcomes of students and can assist families with printing, duplicating, and faxing needs (contingent upon availability of equipment and supplies). Agencies can also reserve space for group meetings. These services are provided free of charge.

The Research and Evaluation Analyst is a critical member of both cross- and inter-departmental teams at The Children’s Trust who engages in proactive problem-solving and critical thinking/analysis related to the design and effectiveness of various child, youth and family services. Primary responsibilities include: contributing to effective program and systems designs for The Children’s Trust’s priority investments in child, youth and family services; designing and maintaining sound data collection tools and systems to capture meaningful program, operational and community data in a user-friendly, accessible manner; and analyzing and making meaning from available data to tell our stories using compelling visualizations and reports with an intentional focus on the specific audience and purpose of the message.

First Star Academy at the University of Miami is looking for two Program Coordinators for its six-week Summer Residential program to serve as part of the summer leadership team, along with the Program Director and Assistant Program Director. Applicants must have a clinical or other relevant background to assist the team in implementing positive behavioral and trauma-informed strategies with youth participants, as well as serve as a liaison to caregivers and child welfare stakeholders. The position will also be responsible for taking vitals, medical histories, administering immunizations, collecting diagnostic data, and maintaining exam rooms in a pediatric clinic. The medical assistant will also answer phones, schedule appointments, participate in marketing activities and perform general clerical duties.
Targeted Case Manager - Certified in Behavioral Health *
A targeted case Manager is sought with a Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related behavioral science discipline. The candidate must have TCM Certification, a minimum of one-year experience working with emotionally disturbed children, ability to balance competing priorities and make independent judgments and decisions, ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including presentation skills, and access to a well maintained vehicle, valid auto insurance, and a current valid driver license.
Dental Assistant *
Dental assistants greatly increase the efficiency of the dentist in the delivery of quality oral health care and are valuable members of the dental care team. The duties of a dental assistant are among the most comprehensive and varied in the dental office. The dental assistant performs many tasks requiring both interpersonal and technical skills.
