Dear Friends,

As we look ahead to the upcoming holiday season, the Maryland Deaf Culture Digital Library would like to take a moment to thank you for your patronage.

During 2019 , there were 5,450+ visits made to the current Maryland DCDL website , temporarily hosted on the Montgomery County Public Library website. Maryland DCDL also has 565 likes and 610 followers on our Facebook page, 152 Instagram followers, and 74 Twitter followers. Will you, as one of our consumers, help us secure more likes and followers on our Maryland DCDL social media platforms by sharing them with your family, friends, and colleagues?
Maryland DCDL co-sponsored several well-attended events across the state of Maryland in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Frederick, Prince George's, and Montgomery Counties.

As we approach 2020, we are looking ahead to planning both special Deaf Cultural programs and summer reading programs with community partners and County Public Library systems. These special programs require funds . Help us bring in Deaf or ASL-friendly talent for events like dance troupes, magic shows, nature talks, or Deaf movie screenings by forming a Friends group.

Maryland DCDL needs you, as a friend, to help the library start a new FOLMC - Maryland Deaf Culture Digital chapter, to begin fundraising to make these statewide programs possible. The FOLMC - Deaf Culture Digital Chapter is currently accepting applications. To sign up, click here .
In continuing our commitment to serving you, your friends, and the community at large throughout the state of Maryland, the Maryland DCDL staff members and members of the Maryland DCDL Advisory Board wish to thank our library liaisons at each of the Maryland County Public Library systems, the Governor's Office for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, community stakeholders, and Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community partners for their support.

The Maryland DCDL wishes you a safe, healthy, and happy holiday season.

Warmest Regards,
