The website, Labor.ca.gov/EmploymentStatus, is a one-stop shop for info on the ABC test, FAQs and other resources to ensure a smooth implementation of the law.
California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Effective January 1, 2020
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) was enacted in 2018 and takes effect on January 1, 2020.
This landmark piece of legislation secures new privacy rights for California consumers. On October 10, 2019, Attorney General Xavier Becerra released draft regulations under the CCPA for public comment.
PHCC Spoke, They Listened: Tax Extenders Package
The Good News: the Package includes a clean extension of Sections 25C and 179D and the House is expected to vote on it. If the Senate agrees, the package will head to the White House for the President's signature.
The not so great news: The extension is good for one year. What this means is a revisit in 2020, but overall this is a win!
In the meantime, if you haven't already, please submit the call to action so that your legislators know that we support reinstating Sections 25C and 179D.
