Special Procedures
   
      
The UN Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms while countering terrorism, published an analysis of the most recent UN Security Council resolution on organized crime and terrorism (S/RES/2482). Read the analysis here
            
The latest special procedures communications report A/HRC/42/65 has been released.  All communications sent by the mandate holders, individually or jointly, are now available at https://spcommreports.ohchr.org/.  The communications report to HRC 42 contains link to the above website that provide summaries of communications sent by the different mandate holders for the period 1 March to 31 May 2019, and replies received from governments until 31 July 2019.  In the period covered by the report, 247 communications were sent to 108 countries and other non-State actors to which 93 replies were received from 49 countries and other actors.  The report also provides update on 17 government replies received until 31 July 2019 on communications sent before 1 March 2019.  These communications concerned 298 alleged identified victims of which 235 are male, 63 are female.
