GVBL Tournament Teams
4th Grade Boys - GREAT VALLEY REBELS
The 4th grade Rebels beat the Middletown Ballers today (20-14) to go 3-0 on the year in the Malvern League.
4th Grade Girls - DIAMONDS
The team continues to practice weekly to prepare for their firs tournament.
5th Grade Boys - RAIDERS ~ KNIGHTS ~ DRAGONS
The Knights had 2 wins this weekend in ICBA league play to stay undefeated. The Raiders had their best game of the season in a tough home loss to Amity and are working hard to get their first win. The Dragons lost to another strong team in the Malvern League.
5th Grade Girls - STORM
Over the last weekend of 2019, the Storm competed in the NYE Buzzer Beater tournament and finished in 2nd place. They defeated two solid teams on Saturday, and edged out a strong SHYBA team on Sunday in the tournament semi final. In the championship, they faced a tall, imposing Lehighton team. The Storm hung with them most of the game, ultimately falling 31-17. On the weekend, Ava Hall starred on offense, scoring 16 points against Langhorne and 19 points against the Pioneers. Gabby Kasser also put together impressive offensive stats over the course of the tournament. The team competed in Malvern play this past weekend against Swoops, winning 29-15 and working on their offense against a zone defense. In the team's first ICBA action against Solebury, the Storm won handily by a score of 38-6. The defense was stifling throughout the game. The girls look towards next weekend with two ICBA contests and one Malvern League game on the schedule.

6th Grade Boys - 2026ers
The 2026ers won their first game in the New Years Eve Buzzer Beater - Competitive Edge Tournament. They lost the second game despite great team effort. They will work on stronger defensive fundamentals at their next team practice so they make the playoffs at their next tournament.
This past weekend, the 2026ers Blue Team had two ICBA games that were close and dramatic. After losing both games, the takeaway is that we need to work on passing and layups. We will practice this week and be back at it next weekend - hopefully with some wins!

6th Grade Girls - LIGHTNING
The Lightning had a great ICBA showing this weekend, winning both of their games handily at the Middle School. It wasn’t a perfect weekend, however; the girls lost their Malvern League game.
7th Grade Boys - PATRIOTS 2025
Malvern White Team lost in a Battle to the Radnor Rockets, they closed the gap to 4 points in the 2nd quarter after being down by 15 points, but couldn't close out the win. Hunter Boike was the Defensive Player of the game!
Malvern Blue Team: The game was cancelled due to gym divider malfunction, so we split into two courts and the boys played 3v3 against Coatesville. We won one game and lost one game. We made the best of the situation because the boys wanted to play.  We hope to have this game rescheduled.
ICBA Team Played fantastic Defense and showed great discipline in executing their offense. Cameron Wallace led all scorers with 26pts in a 60 to 34 victory over Cheltenham.  Fundamentals and Defense played a HUGE role in this game.

7th Grade Girls - TITANS
The Titans won their Malvern league game against the Storm 25-11 and lost an ICBA matchup against Upper Makefield in a closely fought battle, 34-31.
8th Grade Boys - THE BLITZ
The Blitz had one ICBA game to attend to on Sunday right against Penn Valley and turned in a strong performance. With 35 rebounds and only 9 turnovers, holding the visitors to 9 second half points, the Blitz slowly pulled away in the second half, winning 41-28. The Blitz have a home and home series against Upper Perk next weekend with Saturday being the home game. Tip off time is 11:15. Come check out the future of Great Valley High School basketball. The entire ICBA schedule is available at www.icbabasketball.com.
