SNAPSHOT: T he EPS community is helping others this week! The EHS Student Council held a blood drive on Tuesday. In addition to collecting toys, EPS bus drivers raised $2,800 to donate bicycles to Toys for Tots. And Cornelia Elementary students sold homemade crafts during their annual Craft Bazzar, with proceeds going to Love One Another.
Latest Headlines
The Edina Hornet Marching Band is one of several high school bands selected to participate in the mass band performance during the Outback Bowl halftime show on New Year’s Day. Edina High School students will travel to Florida on Dec. 27 and perform with over 2,000 performers from across the United States.
Olivia Pierce, a senior at Edina High School was one of two recipients of the City of Edina Human Rights & Relations Commission's 2019 Tom Oye Award, which honors socially-minded residents and their pursuits of equity and fairness.
Yash Mangalick, a junior at Edina High School, is one of two students selected to represent Minnesota at the U.S. Senate Youth Program (USSYP) in Washington, D.C. The week-long program provides students an opportunity to experience national government in action. 
EPS District Offices have temporarily relocated while mechanical upgrades and remodeling occurs on the third floor, east hallway of the Edina Community Center. Construction in that area will begin after Winter Break and is expected to be complete before the end of the school year.

Board approves calendars for next two school years
At its meeting on Dec. 16, the School Board approved Academic Calendars for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 school years. Find printable PDFs for each year on the District Calendar page of the website.

School Board organizational meeting: Monday, Jan. 6, at 7 p.m. in ECC Room 349.
Next regular meeting: Monday, Jan. 13, at 7 p.m. in ECC Room 349.
