Each year Cocktails for Compass - A Winter Dinner raises funds to support Compass' mission to engage, empower and enrich the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people and people impacted by HIV and AIDS. This year, $110,000 was raised for Compass.
This elegant evening included a cocktail reception with premium open bar and silent auction, followed by a seated dinner and dancing afterwards. 141 guests attended. Capehart was the official photographer for the evening.
Julia Murphy, Compass' Director of Development, shares, "Cocktails for Compass has grown from a cocktail party amongst friends to a sold-out, exclusive invitation-only evening raising vital funds to support and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community in Palm Beach County."
Burt Minkoff with Douglas Elliman announced he will be chairing a Clothing Drive in April 2020 to collect items for LGBTQ youth, families, and clients throughout Palm Beach County for career development, prom, graduation, and college.
A video was shown which highlighted the work that Compass does in the community and how its programming has expanded in the past year. This includes offering a safe space to all members of the community, serving LGBTQ youth and people living with HIV, and promoting LGBTQ-owned businesses through the Pride Business Alliance.
