Dear MHAS Supporter,

It's hard to believe that 2019 is already coming to an end. Here at MHAS, we are reflecting on this year's successes, which are often reported by all kinds of numbers and figures. Yet for many clients like Joshua who has severe physical and mental health disabilities success cannot be fully captured by these numbers.
Unaware of his fair housing rights as a person with physical and mental health disabilities, Joshua signed an agreement to vacate the property by the end of the month even though he had nowhere to go . Fearful that he would become homeless once again, Joshua came to MHAS seeking legal assistance.

MHAS ensured that Joshua's fair housing rights were protected and successfully negotiated with his landlord to secure a reasonable accommodation that allowed him to remain in the apartment until he found a new place to live. Joshua soon found an apartment near his mental health provider and moved in to continue his path to recovery. Thus, for Joshua, success is defined by stability and an improved quality of life .

Before the year ends, I'd like to encourage you to help us obtain even more successes for our clients by making a tax-deductible end-of-year gift .

Thank you for supporting our mission of protecting and advancing the rights of people with mental health disabilities. We wish you and your families a safe and happy holiday season!

Sincerely,

Jenny Farrell
