Transition Planning:
Families as Partners in the Process

Graduation is one of the most important times of a student's school career. Planning for transition from high school to the adult world of work, postsecondary education and training, and independent living takes a team of people helping the student along the way. Families are key in helping to guide their child to a successful transition.
This training will provide participants with information on IDEA, the Rehab Act, and WIOA, the three laws that overlap the transition process. Participants will learn about the elements of transition, receive an overview of the Postsecondary Transition Plan (PTP) onlin program that districts use, and will leave with resources and knowledge on how to develop a solid transition plan and how families can be engaged in the process.

Session is offered at no charge, however please register in advance.
