Sanborn District Budget FY 20-21
Sanborn District Prepares Budget for FY 20-21

Did You Know???

On Thursday, December 5, the Sanborn Regional School District Budget Committee unanimously voted to present to the voters the same budget that was also unanimously recommended to them by the School Board and by the Administration.
It is a tax-restrained 0.54% increase that includes the staff contracts passed last March, and the ability to begin the School-Board-adopted 2-year plan to implement early intervention for children for improving outcomes.
At the same time it provides for pursuing the planned school consolidations of moving the Middle School to the High School and reorganizing the elementary schools.  These consolidations will both fund the intervention and give tax savings.

This proposed budget is lower than the default budget.
Per the Superintendent's statements, it provides for the children's educational needs and the District plans, and it gives room for any consolidation uncertainties.

Identified by all in the Administration, on the School Board, and on the Budget Committee, are budget areas for further audit and likely additional cost savings, once the consolidation is completed.

The National Junior Honor Society Annual Food Drive
We need your help! The National Junior Honor Society is holding their annual food drive for the Kingston and Newton Food Pantries and Sanborn's End 68 Hours of Hunger Program from November 18th to December 18th.  Each year we collect over a thousand packages of non perishable food and we hope to beat that record this year.  Food can be delivered to your first period class (A Day or grades 6 and 7).  There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize for the classes that collect the most food.

68 Hours of Hunger
Weekends are often the longest periods of time for children that don't have enough food at home.  Sanborn School District proudly supports 68 Hours of Hunger.  If you are in need or know someone who could use some assistance please reach out to the SRMS School Nurse Tracy Gilmartin or Angelica Gardella in our Guidance Department.
2019-2020 New Hampshire School Immunization Requirements
Please remember per the New Hampshire School Immunization Requirements (1) dose of Tdap is required for entry into 7th Grade.  These can either be mailed in or sent in with your student.  If you have a scheduled appointment you may let us know the date and send it in after the appointment.  Notifications will go out October 1st to anyone who has not turned in the necessary immunization requirements.

All prescription medication needed for school must be brought in by either a parent or guardian.  Current MD orders must be received for the school year as well.  You may also print off the school medication forms online.  They can be found under Health Services, Medication Administration.
