Free Legal Clinic - Name and Gender-Market Changes
The Center in Hillcrest
First Tuesday of Each Month, starting February 6

Meet with attorneys and law students who can provide assistance and guidance filling out forms required to apply for a court order necessary to change your name and/or gender marker on birth certificates and other official documents.   The clinic will take place in the evening of the first Tuesday of each month, starting February 6th. Schedule appointments at 6:30PM, 7:30PM and 8:30PM at [email protected] or 732-567-8394. Walk-ins will be assisted based on availability. 

San Diego Pride Volunteer Youth Programs Coordinator Hiring

San Diego Pride is looking for students to fill the Volunteer Youth Programs Coordinator positions for the year! The Youth Programs Coordinator reports to the Youth Programs Manager and is responsible for overseeing various programs for LGBTQ youth. The coordinator will provide quality customer service and ensures a safe, fun and positive environment with the youth, their families and partnered LGBTQ youth-serving organizations. Summit for Gay Latino Male Collegians

On Saturday, January 17th, we invite you to join the USC Race and Equity Center for the Los Angeles Summit for Gay Latino Male Collegians. T his day-long summit is intended to provide a safe and welcoming space for gay Latinos to network, share their experiences, and hear about the successes of recent gay Latino college graduates. Moreover, this summit aims to empower participants by centering their voices and highlighting important issues impacting gay Latino males navigating college and university life. The Coming Out group is a place to meet and gain support while discussing your sexual and/or gender Identities in a confidential setting.  This group is for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, straight, or questioning folks who are coming out, considering coming out or may already be out.  Topics are determined by group participants and can include stress, fear, anxiety, loneliness, family/cultural issues, excitement and celebration with regard to coming out. The group is open to new members the first 4 meetings of each quarter and then closes to maintain safe space.

Crisis and the Canon: Shifting Representation Regimes in the Black Mediterranean

Academic Enrichment Programs and the Office of Research Affairs are organizing the Conference for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (CRASSH).  The purpose of this conference is to recognize research done in the Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities, as well as to encourage UC San Diego undergraduates. 

The conference is free and open to the public, but registration is required. The first half of the conference will consist of a plenary session with faculty and alumni speakers, and the second half will consist of poster presentations by undergraduate researchers, as well as a plenary panel on the topic of humanity and technology.
