Week 6 - Race 5 Results                                        Feburary 10, 2018
Championships at Giants Ridge

March 2, 3, and 4, 2018 at Giants Ridge. 

Championships at Giants Ridge is a fun filled weekend of racing which all Ski Challenge teams can participate in.  Championships is not a required weekend, but it's a weekend not to be missed.  

DIVISIONS ARE SET!

Every team is placed in a division with like scoring teams making each division a fun, close competition for all teams.  All team racing takes place on Saturday and Sunday on Innsbruck.  Divisions will be determined base on your week 5 rosters.  


OPEN RACES

We also have an open Team Race on Friday that takes place on Innsbruck.  Saturday we offer an open Individual Race held on Helsinki (King and Queen of the Hel).  Helsinki is a little steeper, more challenging run, but all are welcome to participate.  

We have great prizes to win throughout the weekend at the various events.  We hope to see everyone there!



End of Year League Awards
Team Awards
The team in each league with the most points accumulated after the last race is declared Champions of that league and awarded a team trophy. Medallions are awarded to 1st , 2nd and 3rd place team members, ribbons to 4th and 5th. In the event of a tie, we will compare points of the 7th racer, then 8th, then 9th. After the 9th racer we will go to bonus points. Bonus points are determined by how much you get your medal by for your age and gender.

Individual Awards:
Members must have participated in at least 4 of 7 weekly races to qualify for individual awards such as Fastest and Most Improved of the league or for their team.

Fastest of the team is based on your rated handicap (dropping the best and worse and averaging the remaining).

Most Improved of the team and league is more subjective. We try and look at point and percentage improvements. We also look at participants who show a continued improvement throughout the season and who have had good attendance.

Most Valuable of the league is based on medal average (Usually platinum racers), bonus, and attendance. Only one person per league gets this award.

Buck Hill MONDAY night make up!

We will be making up missed Monday night league racing on Monday, February 2 6 .  This will be our week 7.

We will be meeting in the Buck Hill Event Center next to Black Diamond Restaurant.
