The Jenkins Road contractor, Westech Construction Inc., continues to work on the south side of Jenkins Road, while maintaining through traffic on the north side. SW 153rd Drive is reopened to all traffic following a three-week closure for the installation new storm and utility structures and the restoration of the concrete street.
Current work includes the installation of new storm pipe and structures, a new waterline for the city of Beaverton, and new conduit for overhead utilities. A portion of the new bridge has been installed, as well as a portion of the new concrete impact panels along the south side of Jenkins. The contractor is also completing the installation of a large retaining wall that runs from the new bridge to the east side of Reser’s driveway. Other work includes the construction of the new sidewalk (moment slab) and pedestrian rail. Street lighting conduit and junction boxes are also being installed, as the work progresses.
