STUDENT TEXTBOOK SWAP
December 16th through January 16th
The hope is to help students get rid of books they no longer want and recoup some of the expense, while helping students starting AP classes acquire required books at a more reasonable cost.
How will it work? The library is merely providing the information and forum to facilitate the exchange, but it will be up to the individual students to actually coordinate the selling and buying of the resources. The library will post a list of required AP textbooks in the library, if you have one of those books and want to sell it simply pick up and fill out the simple form (available in the library) and return it to the library. Your flyer will be posted for students that are looking to purchase. Those students (buyers) will text the seller and the two parties can make the necessary arrangements. It is up to students to ensure they are purchasing the books that will be used in the upcoming courses. Hopefully we can help some students out!

DEAR CV COMMUNITY...
Donations must be received at CVHS no later than December 11th. This holiday season, Castle View High School is adopting children and teens, some of whom are orphans, that live in a dormitory on Pine Ridge Native American Reservation in South Dakota. We are asking the community to support us by either sponsoring a child or giving a monetary donation of $50 per student. Pine Ridge children names and gift requests are available now. If you are interested in donating or helping, please contact Mrs. Jenny Dallman at  HER EMAIL.

USAGAIN DRIVE
USagain is an organization that donates it's collections to developing countries in need. Through the donations we will be saving clothing from landfills, reducing carbon emissions, planting trees and giving to those in need. Additionally, this is an incredible opportunity for Castle View to receive funding as we receive money based on the amount of pounds donated. The donation bin is located in the upper visitor's parking lot and any donations would be greatly appreciated.
