UHC PARTICIPATES IN A NATIONWIDE DAY OF ACTION 
IN SUPPORT OF COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS

On Tuesday, February 6th UHC staff participated in a National Day of Advocacy in Action to advocate for full funding of community health centers in the next scheduled congressional legislative action. Staff wore red in support of the initiative and shared postings across social media platforms utilizing the hashtag #REDALERT4CHCS. UHC is a member of the Health Center Advocacy Network in support of the patients we are proud to serve.

UHC SUPPORTS AND PARTICIPATES IN 2018 FRESNO COUNTY YOUTH SUMMIT


On February 3 rd, UHC was as a community sponsor for the 2018 Fresno County Youth Summit at Reedley College which hosted 200 high school students and their parents for a full day conference style event. 

Students had the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and skills during workshops that focused on youth development topics such as: substance abuse and violence prevention, professional and personal development, as well as, teen health topics. Several UHC Reedley staff and the marketing department participated in the event.


UHC WELCOMES JANUARY VOLUNTEERS
 

KERMAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE RECOGNIZES UHC STAFF 

On Thursday, February 1 st staff from the Kerman health center were thanked by the Kerman Chamber in appreciation for their continued support of the Annual Harvest Festival. 

UHC staff volunteered at several community events and were in the Harvest Parade. Staff were treated to a dinner on behalf of the City of Kerman at the historic Community Center. Local community leaders including the Chief of Police and members of the City Council were in attendance to thank our staff and other volunteers.
