SPOTLIGHT: Middle School Soccer Tournament
|
One of the best highlights of this week included the Middle School Soccer Tournament, with Fulton, Masuda and Talbert Middle Schools taking the field for some friendly competition! The annual tournament is hosted by Talbert Middle School and, once again, it was absolutely terrific. Congratulations go out to all of our student athletes for working so hard during the season. A tremendous thank you goes out to the Talbert administration, Ms. Morgan and Ms. Kuykendall, and a special thank you goes out to Mrs. McNally, Activities Director at Talbert, as well as the coaches from all three schools for leading this effort!! We are all grateful for the opportunity to see our students outside of the traditional classroom.

Fun Facts from FVSD
|
As we celebrate the rich history of our District as a part of #TheFVSDWay, we are honored to share some of the interesting facts and events from our nearly 150 years.
In December 1966, the festive spirit was high at Fountain Valley Elementary. And the same dedication to family and caring for our community that we are known for today was just as much a part of the culture then. As noted by the school historian in the above scrapbook excerpt, "On Dec. 12, the Student Council plus the 5, 6, 7 and 8 graders caroled at Fairview State Hospital and then provided donuts and hot chocolate."
We hope that the same feelings of warmth and giving fill your holiday season, because that is truly #TheFVSDWay!
