(1) Open Teaching Week (Faculty)

All faculty are invited to participate in "Open Teaching Week," a new week-long event for IHP faculty to open their classes and create opportunities for colleagues to explore new pedagogies and spark conversations across disciplines. Please join us by offering to open your classroom door to other IHP faculty to observe your teaching during the week of February 24-28. Learn more and register.


(2) Onsite CPR Recertification Class

A CPR recertification class will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 5:00–7:30 p.m. in Shouse 105. Please sign up. Space is limited to eight registrations and will fill up fast. Contact Mike Trioli with any questions. We are now issuing eCards so you will receive your CPR card the next day.


(3) Active Learning Workshops (Faculty)

The instructional designers are pleased to present two offerings for Active Learning workshops this January: “Active Learning Part 1: Strategies that Work” on Tuesday, January 14, 11:00 a.m.–Noon and “Active Learning Part 2: More Active Learning Strategies That Work” on Thursday, January 23, 1:00–2:00 p.m. "Active Learning Part 1" will include strategies such as Muddiest Point, One-Minute Paper, Think-Pair-Share, Memory Matrix, and Jigsaw. "Active Learning Part 2" will discuss The 3-2-1 Format, Focused Listing, QuizShow Review, and Concept Mapping. You do not need to attend Active Learning Part 1 to attend Active Learning Part 2. (4) Student Parking Registration – Building 199 Garage (Students)

Students looking to park at the Building 199 Garage should fill out a registration form and submit it to the parking office located on the first floor of the garage. Parking forms are also located on the fourth floor of the Shouse Building, outside office 416. Registration forms should be completed prior to arriving at the garage. (5) HIV Online Provider Education (HOPE) Nursing Conference

There is an HIV Online Provider Education (HOPE) nursing conference on Wednesday, January 15, 8:00–9:00 a.m. in Shouse 201. This month's conference features Sarah Williams, MSN ’03, FNP, ANP, AAHIVS. (6) January 9 Opportunity Drawing (Faculty & Staff)

Jackie Tang won four Swan Boat rides. All proceeds from the drawing, which occurs each workday throughout January, will go toward supporting the Center for Youth Wellness at Harvard-Kent Elementary School.
