It features news about student, faculty, staff and alumni accomplishments, as well as events that may be of interest to our community. Note that there is a weekly version of the newsletter for a local audience, and a monthly version for a broader audience. Renegades: Bruce Goff and the American School of Architecture
Exhibition Opens at Fred Jones on January 23rd
The exhibition
Renegades: Bruce Goff and the American School of Architecture
tells the story of this exciting period in architectural history by featuring selections from the American School
Archive, as well as virtual tours of several residences designed by Bruce Goff and digitally rendered by Skyline Ink of Oklahoma City. The exhibition will open on January 23rd at 8:00 p.m., following a 7:00 p.m. public lecture at the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art.

Award-Winning Scholar Beatriz Colomina to Lecture at Gibbs College
Beatriz Colomina, H
oward Crosby Butler Professor of the History of Architecture at Princeton University, is coming to speak at GCA next week. Colomina is an internationally renowned, award-winning author and architectural historian whose work focuses on today's questions of how architecture, art, technology, sexuality and media fit together. Colomina will lecture at GCA on Friday, January 24th, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., in Gould Hall Buskuhl Gallery, room 130.

Regional + City Planning Alumnus Featured by Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning
RCPL graduate Folasayo Salami was recently featured by the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning as an "Active Alum." In the profile, he shares his current work with the City of Edmond and what he gained from the MA program.

Herbe Greene Teaching Fellow to Lecture at OSU's Knowlton School
Herb Greene Teaching Fellow, René Peralta has been invited to deliver a lecture on February 12th as part of the Baumer Lecture Series at the Knowlton School of Architecture at Ohio State University. As part of the Knowlton School's commitment to bringing the highest level of design thinking to its students and the community at large, the Baumer Lecture Series invites prominent researchers and practitioners of architecture, landscape architecture and city planning to present their work in a variety of areas.

Division of Architecture to Host Town Hall Chat with Acting Director
All architecture students are encouraged to join Acting Director Daniel Butko for a town hall style chat/meeting in the Gallery this Wednesday, January 22. Pizza will be served at 12:15 p.m. and the meeting will begin shortly after. Studio professors will join towards the end of the meeting - they know you will be late to studio. Please attend to build an academic community across all year levels. Comments and questions are welcomed.

Charles W. Graham Travel Study Dinner Benefit Tickets On Sale Now
The Charles W. Graham Travel Study Benefit Dinner will be held on February 7, 2020, from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. at the Petroleum Club in Oklahoma City. It will feature a multi-course meal with fine wine pairings. Individual tickets are $125 each. All proceeds support student travel study scholarships and opportunities.

"Gardens of Knowledge and Delight" to be offered in Arezzo, Italy
Walk the historic botanical gardens of Italy, the foundations of natural history and science, with biogeographer Bruce Hoagland. Experience splendid Renaissance villa gardens and Italian cities with landscape architect Bret Betnar. Learn the history and secrets behind the beloved places whose beauty, plant collections, structure, and style continue to inspire scientists and artists. WGS Offers "The Women's Vote at 100" Intersession Course in May 2020
This May 2020, WGS is hosting a Study Away program during intersession. Students will travel to upstate New York, New York City and Washington, D.C., to study the suffrage movement. Course Description: In 1920, the 19th amendment granted women the right to vote in the United States. In honor of the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, the class will travel to New York and Washington, D.C. to retrace the suffrage movement, from its roots in the Abolitionist Movement through the Jazz Age. With an eye toward issues of race and class, we will examine the history that culminated in the Nineteenth Amendment getting added to the Constitution.

The OU Women's and Gender Studies Center for Social Justice invites you to the seventh annual Teach OUt on Race.
Designed for a range of participants from budding allies to experienced activists, the Teach OUt is an opportunity for attendees to intentionally consider what it means to practice anti-racism across the spaces where we teach, learn, and lead. It will be held on
