New TxDOT Report on I-45: Public Comment Open Through 1/10/20

Meals For Children Over Winter Break
HISD will serve no-cost breakfast and lunch at three school sites, including Booker T. Washington High School , during the Winter Break. Children do not have to be enrolled in school to receive no-cost meals, and no paperwork, such as registration or proof of income, is required. More info here.
Design Changes to Patton & Irvington Intersection
Due to its history of left-turn related crashes, Council Member Cisneros brought the concerns of several community members who frequently travel through the Patton & Irvington intersection to the Public Works Department, who have in turn developed three design alternatives to reduce the number of accidents. Bring Awareness to Human Trafficking
Join the Red Sand Project's walk this weekend in memory of Letty Serrano. This is a public event and participants are asked to wear red. Red sand will be passed out to attendees.

Build Your Future!
Wesley Community Center offers the chance to be trained in construction through a Boot Camp and on the job training. If you are willing to work outside, 18+ years old, and have legal status, you may qualify for this opportunity to get paid to learn.
