HELP MAKE 2018 THE YEAR
MASSACHUSETTS ADOPTS PAID LEAVE
AND A HIGHER MINIMUM WAGE

Last fall, MCAE joined with Raise Up Massachusetts to collect enough signatures so that, should the Legislature fail to act, Paid Family and Medical Leave and a $15 Minimum Wage will appear on the 2018 ballot. As you know, these policies are essential if the Commonwealth is to have an economy that works for everyone

Now, Raise Up is inviting Representatives and Senators from around the state to a series of community briefings to ensure they get the message: it's time to put these much-needed changes into law. To deliver this message, Raise Up is asking supporters of paid leave and a higher minimum wage to attend a briefing in their area and to help explain to elected officials why these issues matter.

Please: take the time to attend a briefing and ask the legislators there to prioritize and to pass comprehensive Paid Family and Medical Leave and a $15 Minimum Wage for all workers in Massachusetts.

Listed below are the locations and the dates and times for the briefings that Raise Up has planned to date. To learn more about the briefings and to register to attend, you can either click here or click on the city below where you wish to participate. Clicking on the link provides additional details such as the specific location of each briefing; for supporters living in or near Lynn and Brockton, the links below take you to a general registration site.  Check that site for scheduling updates for your city.

By acting together and by speaking out loudly and clearly, it will be impossible to ignore our call to action. For years, workers and families across Massachusetts have been demanding a living wage and paid leave to care for those they love without risking job loss or financial ruin. With your help, 2018 will be the year that these campaigns are realized for all workers!
