Hello chamber!
Thank you so much for supporting our work throughout 2019! Let’s take a look at where we've been and what's coming up in 2020.

CELEBRATING THE HOLIDAYS IN WORCESTER
On December 11, we gathered with local business owners and LGBTQ+ community members at the Worcester Historical Museum for our first Worcester Holiday Soirée. The night’s discussion included how we can begin to “queer the dollars” that we spend in both business and our everyday lives, and establishing an LGBT business roundtable to inform how we can serve the community locally. We are grateful to David Connor, for helping organize this event and continuing to advocate for Worcester’s LGBTQ+ community. We would also like to thank
Vybz Chef for providing an amazing spread of food and
Manor Made for the cookies and rainbow cupcakes. It is amazing to have sourced so much of the night’s event from local LGBT-owned businesses — we can’t wait to see what we will do together in the future.
|
|
Be sure to keep an eye out for interviews with our Executive Director, Grace Moreno, and Chamber members on New England Pride TV.
As a reminder for those registered, we have our member, partner, and guest-exclusive Boston Holiday Soirée this evening. If you have not registered, contact
Carly Davis for additional information and to see if there is still space.
MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
As we move forward with our work in Worcester, we wanted to take a moment to highlight our first chamber member from that city,
Queer the Scene.
|
|
On December 21, Queer the Scene follows up with Strike a Pose PT. 2. The second installment allows for a continuation of the conversation as well as an introduction to voguing basics, highlighting the unapologetic and creative nature of the dance form. Special guest is renowned voguing instructor London Fleur De Lis.
For more information, visit the event’s Facebook page.

HOLLY-GAY MARKET RECAP
The first-ever Holly-Gay Market at Blend in Dorchester was a rousing success! It was incredible to be in the presence of so many LGBTQ+ makers, creatives, and shoppers. Thank you to event organizers — it was wonderful to be involved and we can’t wait to see how this event grows next year.
Let’s continue to shop small and support our community throughout this holiday season.
