In November 1999 we became a 501 (c) (3) charity. You can view our most recent  annual report posted on our website.  We are now  entering our 21st year as a charity. Our main mission is to promote self-sufficiency by helping those in need with college scholarships, fresh water, cattle and many other projects.

In our last newsletter we made reference to a seventh borehole for 2019 to be drilled in Zambia.  This was completed in late October prior to the rainy season. This  borehole was made possible by a generous donor. The community is joyful in that they have fresh water now.  See Felicia Talama's report from Situmbeko, Zambia below.

Thank you for making LifeNets the charity of your choice. Be sure  to visit our LifeNets website, Facebook page, and Twitter feed as well as our LifeNets blog listed at the bottom of this newsletter for up-to-date information about ongoing projects.

With love and appreciation to all of you.

Situmbeko Borehole Update from Felicia Talama
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello Bev,
The borehole has come at the right time when Zambia is facing a drought which has affected many people in rural areas, most of the rivers, canals and wells are dry. It has affected agriculture and a lot of people are facing food shortages. This is really a disaster because people and livestock don't have fresh clean water to drink.
Situmbeko community are down on their knees thanking God for the help of the borehole which has just come at the right time when they are need of water. Water is life. They are grateful to the donors who generously donated and made it possible to bring hope to their lives.
By giving we demonstrate a grateful trust and confidence in each other.
This borehole which was sank in the 24th of October, 2019 will help the less privileged who can't afford to sink boreholes in their areas, it will help to create jobs in gardening and reduce poverty, it will give them a future because they will be self reliant.
Our sister Judith is the care taker of this borehole in Situmbeko, more than 150 families will benefit from this borehole. Miss Judith is very happy for what ever help she has received from LifeNets. In 2013, LifeNets helped her with iron sheets to roof her house which she built from foundation up to roof level; with this help, today she has a good shelter on top of her head. Oh what a blessing.
We are building a church hall in Situmbeko, it's now easy for them because of water which is nearby, they used to walk 2-3 kilometers to fetch water for moulding bricks.
We really thank the donors, remember when you take time to invest in others, the seed you saw will always come back to you.
Thank You.
Latest Scholarship Letters of Gratitude
From Zambia
Dear LifeNets.
I am sincerely honored to be the recipient of a LifeNets scholarship. Your generous contribution has allowed me to pursue my Primary Teachers Diploma. And today, I am overjoyed to be a graduate and a trained teacher.
Rodrick Epomba
Growing up in a family without a graduate has been a painful thing and repeatedly reminded me the importance of a college/University Education as a foundation for a successful me and my entire family and community. LifeNets has laid a strong foundation through the scholarship rendered to me.
By awarding me the LifeNets scholarship you lightened my financial burden that allowed me to focus more on the most important aspect of school which is learning and not worrying so much about how I am going to pay for school. This was not going to be easy without your aid. This helped me to work hard. I was awarded  the "Outstanding Performance" (Best student of the year).
Your generosity has inspired me to help others and give back to the community, I hope one day I will be able to help students achieve their goals like you helped me achieve mine.
Can't drop the pen without mentioning my mentor and inspiration:  Mr and Mrs D Pringle, thank you so much and God bless you. I thank you Mr and Mrs Kubik for your confidence and willingness to help me achieve my goal.  (Hebrews 6:10)
Sincerely
Rodrick Epomba
