Orientation is a multi-step process consisting of a mandatory immigration check-in session, as well as an orientation session, placement tests (if applicable), course registration and a mandatory health screening. Your on-campus orientation will take place on Friday, January 3, 12:30-4 p.m., in 200 Campbell Hall (1787 Neil Avenue, Columbus, OH 43210).
Orientation will introduce you to Ohio State and Columbus, allow you to meet other new students, help you schedule courses and provide information on topics such as maintaining immigration status, academic success, campus activities, health insurance and cultural adjustment.
Staff members from offices around campus have made special arrangements to participate in this event so that they can introduce themselves and discuss the services they provide.
You will also be able to participate in special welcome events like lunches, shopping trips and campus tours to help you get to know campus and Columbus. To view available events and plan your schedule, download the Global Events at Ohio State App or preview the calendar online. You will sign up for the events during your immigration check-in appointment.
