Dear Parents,

Happy Holidays! The Parent Education Series has great events coming up this winter, so we look forward to seeing you in the New Year 2020.

In January, we are thrilled to welcome Dr. Bill Stixrud and Ned Johnson , co-authors of the award-winning book, The Self-Driven Child: The Science and Sense of Giving Your Kids More Control Over Their Lives (January 30, M-A PAC ).

According to Stixrud and Johnson, a sense of control is the 'antidote to stress' for American kids impacted by social media, demanding homework, and lack of sleep.

As one of the most fundamental aspects of self, gender impacts everybody – particularly children and teens. Nonprofit Gender Spectrum’ s mission is to create a gender-inclusive world for all children and youth.

In February, we are proud to host Joel Baum , Senior Director of Professional Development at Gender Spectrum , in Creating Gender Inclusive Environments for Children and Teens (February 27, Woodside MUR ).

Coming to Carlmont in March, LIKE is the new IndieFlix Original documentary about the impact of social media on our lives. LIKE is this year's "not-to-be missed" film, so get your tickets today! (March 17, Carlmont PAC ).
