Getting the most out of your collection agency partner

Presented by:
Jerry Peer, SVP of Operations, PFC
Nick Prola, Esq., General Counsel/Director of Compliance, PFC
PROGRAM CONTENT
This HFMA exclusive presentation will address the various myths surrounding debt recovery vendors and highlight the importance of ensuring your vendor is maximizing returns for your facility. The experienced team at Professional Finance Company (PFC) will cover important topics relating to vendor management with third party debt recovery agents and adequately assessing vendor partnerships and their performance for your bottom line. PFC will address the following misconceptions associated with third party vendors while providing insight into best practices with Vendor Management:

1.      "Third party collection services are no more than a commodity. The cheaper the better."
2.      "It's imperative to have multiple agency partners."
3.      "Leaving accounts with an agency for more than 6-9 months is crazy."
4.      "Credit reporting of my accounts is ineffective and a waste of time."
5.      "Secondary placement of accounts is an essential collection strategy."
6.      "Litigating accounts is a PR disaster and is bad for business."
7.      "Collection agency regulations are their problem, not mine."
8.      "Dealing with disputes on accounts is a waste of my team's time - this should be handled by the agency."
9.      "Don't fix what isn't broken - it doesn't make sense to change a long-term vendor."
10.    "There's no such thing as a 'partnership' with a vendor - again, this is just a commodity."
