University Launches Campaign for Students

Millersville University recently announced the first fundraising campaign in its history exclusively focused on students - Imagine the Possible. With a goal of $32 million in private support by 2020, funds will support three priority areas; Scholarships, Student Learning Experiences and Athletics.

Jennifer Houtz '18 is one Marauder who benefited greatly from both scholarships and student learning experiences at MU. A first-generation college student, Jennifer achieved an impressive amount of accomplishments while attending Millersville. She traveled to the Ecuadorian Amazon for research three times, earned ten academic scholarships and 12 research grants, served as vice president of the biology club and president of the Circle K Club.

Jennifer received her bachelor's degree in biology with a concentration in animal behavior and a minor in chemistry on May 12. This August, Jennifer will move to New York to pursue her doctoral degree in Cornell University's ecology and evolution and biology PhD. program.

Spring Commencement

Millersville University recently conferred more than 1,000 graduate and undergrad degrees, including the first earned doctoral degrees from the Education Leadership Doctoral program. S pring Commencement marked Dr. John Anderson's final graduation address as MU's 14th president. Read More

Recent Events

The MU Alumni Association hosted a variety of fun events in April.
Alumni and friends joined current 'Ville students for SNAP at CARGAS in downtown Lancaster, tackled puzzling trivia during the MU After Work at JoBoy's in Lititz, and enjoyed an evening of Jazz and Java on Millersville's campus with guest artist Camille Thurman.

Dr. Daniel A. Wubah Named 15th President of Millersville University
Dr. Wubah's selection concludes a national search for a successor to Dr. John M. Anderson, who will retire June 30 after serving as president for more than five years. Dr. Wubah, the former Washington and Lee University provost is scheduled to begin July 1.   Read More

Millersville alumnus and award-winning author Ken Cressman '80, recently published the sequel to his 2015 novel, Pegasus. In this new sci-fi thriller, all contact with the scientific outpost on Mars has been lost. The Federal Space Administration is sending the spaceship Intrepid on a desperate rescue mission, and they've commandeered Captain Justin Thorn's ship Pegasus to use as a shuttle to the surface. But when they arrive on Mars, things go horribly wrong and the ship is severely damaged. Now millions of miles from home, the survivors must find a way to get themselves and their crippled ship back to Earth before time runs out.
