Ditch Your Electronic e-Waste with Indie Cycle!

Safely and securely dispose of all your used, broken, or unwanted electronics at the Tiverton Public Library! Indie Cycle will be parked outside the library to help you responsibly recycle your electronic waste. Just in time for the holidays!
Items accepted at NO charge:
Computers, laptops, monitors, routers, PDAs, cell phones, mice, keyboards, ink-jet printers, toner cartridges, CD/DVD players, radios, televisions, network equipment, wires, stereos, speakers, telephones, cameras, microwaves, small household appliances, and acid lead batteries including auto/marine and battery back-ups. Anything with a wire!
A $10 disposal fee
is charged for each laser-jet printer, air conditioner, dehumidifier, and other coolant-containing devices.
Not accepted:
Light bulbs, single-use batteries, tapes/disks, glass, Styrofoam, broken TV tubes, or any hazardous materials.
Indie Cycle, LLC, has a zero-landfill policy and does not remarket any hard drives or data storage devices. Visit their website at

Living Literature Presents “A Holiday Sampler”

Monday, December 2nd, 6:30-7:30pm, Community Room
This readers’ theater-style presentation is a celebration of stories, poems, and essays that reflect the spirit and practice of Christmas. This off-beat, lighthearted look at the most indelible of holidays includes such authors as Ogden Nash, Grace Paley, A. A. Milne, Mary Oliver, Pearl S. Buck, and Leo Tolstoy, among others. It will be performed by husband and wife team, Anne Scurria and Living Literature Artistic Director, Barry Press.
This program is free and open to the public and is best appreciated by an adult audience, but children are welcome.

Retro Game Club is moving to a new time. Starting in 2020, Retro Game Club will be held on the second Tuesday of the month (instead of the first). The next meeting will be January 14th at 6:00pm.

Featured Museum Pass: The Providence Children's Museum
|
Did you know most kids have 16 days off of school in December? Take out the Library’s Providence Children’s Museum pass and take the kids where they can burn off steam when it’s cold outside.
Enjoy exhibits like Water Ways, the Climber, Discovery Studio, and Play Power, where you send objects soaring through the air and construct magnetic mazes.
The museum pass allows for half-price admission for up to 4 people. The museum is closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas day.

Children of all ages are welcome to stop by the Union Public Library on Saturdays, any time from 10:00am to 12:00pm, to enjoy creating a fun and easy craft. Supplies and directions will be provided.
Younger children can be assisted by an older brother or sister or by parents or other caregiver.
